Vivienne Spanopoulos

About Vivienne

Vivienne has been teaching meditation and yoga asana for over 30 years. Her alignment-based Hatha classes draw on extensive study of anatomy, the meridian system, movement principles, and a broad range of yoga styles.

After teaching in Sydney for many years, Vivienne was invited to Singapore to co-teach a 500-hour teacher training program, later becoming the principal teacher at Como Shambhala Studio Singapore, where she taught for about 17 years.

In addition to her teaching, Vivienne has worked as a private therapist, helping clients with injuries, post-surgery recovery, pain management, and postural realignment. She leads retreats and teacher training programs across Asia, Europe, and Australia. Her teaching style is precise
with a sense of rhythm and fluid sequencing.

Classes may involve use of all props including chairs, as well as more flow-style or periodically restorative sequences. Vivienne’s instruction emphasises depth, accessibility, and insight, enabling students of all levels to experience yoga’s transformative power.
